Achilles

"Illy" is a full Australian Blue Heeler, bred for herding and guarding livestock. He's a great guard dog and doesn't trust strangers quickly, but when you put in the time he becomes a loyal friend for life. Illy protect the whole mountain but is always looking to be the center of attention.

David

David is named for Chris' favorite baseball player, David "Big Papi" Ortiz. He is the grumpy old man on the mountain. David does allow neck scratches and will be sure to let you know when he is hungry.

Niko

Niko ("Niko-potomus" or just "Lil Pot") is our young and spunky cat who is always looking to escape. You may see him on one of his daily adventures on the mountain guarding chickens or getting into trouble.

Chickens

The farm is home to 14 chickens with breeds from America, England, France and South America. Egg colors range from dark chocolatey brown to green, blue, onyx, and seafoam. The hens are Mama, Nugget, Karen, Olivia, Artemis, Popcorn,  Gertrude ("Gertie"), Betty, Athena ("Tina"), Diana, Opal, Dottie, and Waffles. Our lone rooster is Trouble who is a Black Silkie (smaller breed) with a bum leg, but he still crows every morning!

Goats

Our Nigerian Dwarf Goats provide milk for goat cheese but also clear out unwanted vegetation (think a roomba for weeds and bushes). Our ladies are Mayflower ("May"), Rosie, and Daisy. Our lone male goat is Napoleon.
